Today's theme is mood. Prompts can be anything related to moods or how characters feel.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.

Okay, this is a bit lame, but the prompt immediately made me think of one of my cats. He's sooo laid back, but liable to claw your eyes out if you move wrong. There are pics on my LJ/DW (same name both sites), just click on the Gideon the Great tag.

Gideon sat on the bathroom counter, carefully grooming one paw. The Human had taken him to the vet – twice! – this week, said she was ‘worried about him’. He stopped grooming and looked out towards where she sat on the couch, reading. She was worried about nothing. He’d pee when he was ready to pee, why didn’t she understand that.

But she was a good human, made sure they had clean water, plenty of food (even if he wasn’t allowed to snack all day like he used to), treats at night, and more toys than one cat could play with. Plus, they had each other. Gideon, his brother, Fawkes, plus the two grouchy girls who were there when he and his brother had arrived. He’d never admit it, but they weren’t so bad, Sunny and Violet.

“Aww, look at you,” his human said, cooing into his face.

He hated when she did that, but he knew that all the loving pats would come after, so he let her have her moment. Violet sat in the doorway to the bathroom, watching as he got all the pats from The Human. She narrowed her eyes at him, but he just smirked. He knew from experience that she did not get left out or shortchanged when it came to the pets and all the loves. His humans – the Mother and her two Kittens – distributed the love evenly.

“You are so stinkin’ cute,” she said, giving his ears a rub.

I know, he thought. But I still might claw something later.

THIS IS FREAKING CUTE AND DESERVES ALL CAPS LOCKS!!!! I could not stop grinning, it's so cat typical, I am a dog person, and yet I could still see a fuzzy cat doing this, and the ending line just made the story even better!!! Thank you so much!! This was such a fun read, brightened up my day a lot. :)

A/N: they live in a big magic suitcase, without context this would probably be pretty weird

Rain is not an unusual sight in the suitcase. Sometimes the weather is harsher—how it comes to be, Vertin does not know—but this afternoon it’s a gentle drizzle, a soft but steady pitter-patter, running in small rivulets down the window glass. What’s unusual however is the empty common rooms. Given how many people Vertin shares a home with, it’s never this quiet.

She grabs the tea Satsuki has made, now the perfect temperature to drink, but leaves the other cup on the table.

On the chair next to her, Sonetto is sleeping soundly. Vertin knows she was up all night yesterday to finish the paperwork some senior Foundation member assigned to her, she doesn’t want to disturb her sleep.

(It is still raining when Sonetto blinks awake an hour later and flushes in embarrassment at her impropriety.)
